We have as another goal, to travel the old Route 66 that starts in Chicago and ends in Los Angeles. We plan to do the trip in stages rather than try to cover the entire Route in one long drive. This way we will have more time to stop and see some of the historic sites all along the way. Check back here often for updates and new photos.

We traveled to Chicago via the Natchez Trace Parkway from Natchez Mississippi to Nashville. In May 2022, we started on Route 66 in downtown Chicago. We traveled the road from Chicago to Oklahoma City, then returned home. That covered a little less than half of the entire Route 66 trek.

This leaves the remaining road from Oklahoma City to Los Angeles for another trip scheduled for April of 2024.
