This was our 239th Courthouse in Texas to visit. That means we are at 94.1% of our goal with 5.9% left to go. The regular Aransas County courthouse was severely damaged by hurricane Harvey on August 25, 2017 with estimated winds at around 140mph. As a result, that courthouse has been condemned. This location is in a strip mall and is the temporary home of the county courthouse until the new building can be completed. The current expected completion date is set for December, 2022. We may need to return once the new building is completed and update our photos.
